The 2006 Winter Conference of the AVC marked the first time SRP technology has been the subject of an educational presentation to beef industry veterinarians.  Following a dinner sponsored by Agri Laboratories, Dr. Sandstrom covered the microbiology of iron acquisition and the conserved nature of SRP proteins.  In a tandem presentation, Dr. Dave Renter, Kansas State University, gave an overview of salmonella incidence in feedlots.
