SRP^® Technology was originally developed and refined as a solution to several health issues in the commercial turkey industry. At Willmar Poultry Company, we have extensive experience in both clinical and commercial trials using SRP's derived from salmonella, E. coli, and Pasteurella multocida (fowl cholera). Data from many of these studies has been presented at local and national poultry conferences.

Epitopix has made substantial progress toward fulfilling the requirements for USDA licensure of a salmonella-SRP bacterial extract vaccine labeled for use in poultry. Experimental and autogenous salmonella-SRP vaccines have been used in commercial pullets, broiler breeders, and both breeding and market turkeys. Completion of the regulatory requirements will be ongoing in 2006.
